Male Chorus "Brodosplit" was founded in 1972. This chorus has become one of the most appreciated male choruses in Croatia throughout its work, wide range of numerous performances, interesting programmes, valuable interpretations, distinctive sonority and compact quality of voices.

City of Split Awards to City choir "Brodosplit" and maestro Vlado Sunko
On the occasion of the Day of the city and feast of St. Duje, on the gala meeting of the City Council held at the Croatian National Theatre in Split, City Choir "Brodosplit" was awarded with the group prize of city of Split for year 2012. for particular merits and achievements in promoting cultural and musical heritage in the country and abroad, and their leader maestro Vlado Sunko with personal reward of city of Split for year 2012. for particular merits and the results achieved in the promotion of Croatian musical heritage in the country and abroad.
"... All these years since its establishment until today they promoted the Croatian musical heritage at home and abroad, always with high artistic impression and inevitable rewards. As the holder of the highest honors and scores of music critics with prestigious competition they have been ranked in the order of one of our most successful and most respected vocal ensembles.
Impression that this choir leaves through each of its performance gives a high professional level and truly intimate experience in performing acts. Competitions such as the Choir Olympics, the World Choir Games, European and international competition are in the sign of the gold medals, the absolute winners and Olympic and world champion of choral singing.
Already mentioned the City Choir "Brodosplit" would not reached that level that on his way as a guiding star is not for 25 years prof. Vlado Sunko undisputed connoisseur and choirmaster from who should study the future generations.
Vlado Sunko professor at the Arts Academy in Split, is one of the most remarkable figures of the middle generation in the musical life of the city of Split.
Modesty is a virtue of great people but it requires knowledge of yourself, in fact what prof. Vlado Sunko do remains for future generations which give him a vision, and borrowed vision he returns back to them in triple.
With their previous high value activities City Choir "Brodosplit" together with their leader maestro Vlado Sunko are indebted city of Split, Croatia, county and Croatia, and this awards will be an incentive for greater continuity and dedicated work of high artistic impression.
We can rely on the City Choir "Brodosplit" that it will continue in the future to be an important and highly representative promoter of musical culture of Split, Dalmatia, and above all our Croatian homeland .... "
